State Master Plumber License Registration

The licensing and registration requirements for plumbing contractors are different based upon the type of work that will be performed.

To get a permit, you will need to register your State Plumber License. There is no fee for this registration. To register your license, you will need to submit the following:

• Government issued photo identification
• State License ID card
• Current insurance on file with the Texas State Plumbing Board

NOTE: You must renew your registration annually.

Additional Endorsements

Additional endorsements may be required for certain permits. There are as follows:

• Medical Gas Permits require a Medical Gas Piping Endorsement
• Multi-Purpose Residential Fire Protection Sprinkler System (MRFPSS) Permits require a MRFPSS Endorsement

To get a permit, you will need to register your State Irrigation Licenses. To register your license, you will need to submit the following:

• Government issued photo identification
• State License ID card
• Annual registration fee: $85
• Certificate of Insurance or Bond

A licensed plumber may be issued an irrigation permit.
