Graffiti Abatement Program

The City’s Graffiti Abatement Program (GAP) handles removing graffiti from:

• sidewalks
• curbs
• improved drainage easements
• retaining walls

The GAP helps owners and renters of private property remove graffiti. The program also works to clean graffiti off CPS Energy items like wooden poles, metal poles, and towers.

Graffiti Prevention & Cleanup

The GAP works with City departments and public/private companies to abate and prevent graffiti. Five City departments focus on graffiti abatement for specific City properties:

San Antonio Public Library

Central and branch library locations.

Parks & Recreation Department

Parks, greenways, and natural areas.

Center City Development and Operations

Downtown city property and infrastructure.

Public Works

Traffic signs, signals, and guardrails.

Building & Equipment Services Department

All other city-owned buildings and infrastructure.
