Raising Awareness About Maternal, Infant, Child and Adolescent Health

Metro Health is dedicated to raising awareness about important health topics for:

  • Mothers
  • Infants
  • Children
  • Adolescents

This is a key role of public health. The Let's Grow Together campaign is an initiative designed to promote the essential programs and resources available to support pregnant women and families with infants, children and adolescents in San Antonio and Bexar County.

Metro Health believes that healthy moms give birth to healthy babies, healthy babies grow into healthy children and healthy children ensure a healthy future for our community! This belief is centered on Metro Health's department vision statement: Healthy People Thriving in a Healthy Community.

Metro Health is aligning this public health campaign with two national observances. The month of August is National Immunization Awareness Month (NIAM) and National Breastfeeding Awareness Month (NBAM). These observances emphasize timely vaccinations and breastfeeding support as critical elements of lifelong health.
