The San Antonio Police Department (SAPD) invites community members to work with the police. There are many different ways that residents can assist the SAPD in serving our community. These include organized programs, volunteer opportunities, and individual activities.

Citizen Police Academy

Citizen on Patrol (COP)

San Antonio Neighbors Together

San Antonio Neighbors Together is an annual event focused on strengthening relationships between local police, communities, and neighborhoods.

The SAPD values and supports the LGBTQ+ community and maintains a liaison program to ensure good communication.

Outreach & Education

Success Through Respect

Success Through Respect (STR) is a SAPD developed program. It helps to build relationships and establish trust between young people and police officers in San Antonio.

Public Safety Corps

The SAPD Public Safety Corps Program (PSC) introduces young people to law enforcement. The PSC program is for individuals between the ages of 14–21 who have an interest in a future law enforcement career. SAPD staff and facilities provide the PSC program.
