SAPD offers two types of internships for college and university students.
Looking for college/university juniors and seniors who need an internship to graduate. SAPD Interns gain a well-rounded perspective of the department through ride-alongs with patrol and specialized units such as Homicide, DWI, Dispatch, and Night CID.
CSI Interns ride along with the SAPD Crime Scene Unit to observe how evidence is collected, preserved, and processed. This internship supports investigations and promotes crime prevention through education and community outreach.
