World AIDS Day
Published on November 18, 2025
December 1 is World AIDS Day. This is a global day to recognize the impact of HIV/AIDS, honor those lost to AIDS-related illnesses, and show support for people living with HIV. It encourages communities to reflect, remember, and take action toward ending the HIV epidemic.
World AIDS Day highlights both the progress made and the work still needed to reduce stigma, expand access to care, and ensure everyone has the resources for HIV prevention and long-term health.
Metro Health remains committed to increasing outreach, improving access to testing, and connecting individuals to essential care and support services.
Metro Health will commemorate the day with a Walk of Remembrance, bringing together residents, community advocates, healthcare partners, and local leaders.
The event is free and open to the public. It aims to honor lives lost, support those living with HIV, and raise awareness about prevention, testing, and treatment efforts in San Antonio.
