Sexually Transmitted Infection (STI) Mobile Clinics

The STI Control and Prevention Program has a mobile unit that functions as an extension of the health clinic.
Mobile Clinic Events

STI Testing

The mobile unit travels throughout San Antonio. It provides testing and treatment for most STIs at no cost to the individual.

Healthy Beats Program

This program provides case management services throughout pregnancy. It is important to test for syphilis at least three times during pregnancy (at the first prenatal visit, in the third trimester and at delivery). Testing and treatment can help prevent congenital syphilis.

HIV Prevention

This program provides:

• HIV testing
• community mobilization
• linkage to care services
• information and referrals for Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) for HIV
