Homeownership Production

$5 million to build homes to own.

San Antonio voters approved the 2022 - 2027 Bond Program on May 7, 2022. The Affordable Housing Bond includes $150 million for the City of San Antonio to create and preserve affordable housing in five funding categories. One of those categories is focused on building homes to own.

The goal is to create opportunities for San Antonians to buy a home. New homes built for sale through the Affordable Housing Bond must be sold to homeowners with incomes up to 80% of the Area Median Income (AMI) or lower.

First-time homebuyers can also apply for down payment help. Learn more about the Home Incentive Program here.
