In an effort to provide transparency and information to the community, the City of San Antonio’s Center City Development Department has provided a downloadable summary report of all its active Center City Housing Initiative Policy (CCHIP) incentive agreements.

Effective January 2, 2019, a program administration fee will be assessed for all new projects accepting incentives under the CCHI Program. Fees must be paid before a final agreement is executed and before any incentives are disbursed. The program fee schedule is as follows:

 Assignment Fee (effective October 1, 2019)
* The per-unit fee shall be $0 for any housing units qualifying as affordable per the terms of the CCHIP policy. Projects in which at least half of the housing units qualify as affordable shall be exempt from the per-unit fee.
 $2,500 per assignment plus $100 per housing unit and $0.25 per square foot of leasable commercial space, with a maximum total fee of $7,500.*


CH. 380/381 ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AGREEMENT DATABASE (Texas Comptroller's Office)

House Bill 2404, passed by the 87th Texas Legislature, instructs the Comptroller’s office to create and make accessible an online Chapter 380 and 381 Local Development Agreement Database that contains information regarding all local development agreements in the state.

HB 2404 also requires local governments to provide the Comptroller’s office with the information required by Government Code Sec. 403.0246(c) and agreements they have entered, amended, or renewed within 14 days so the information may be made available on the Comptroller’s website.
