Angelica Mata has been with the City of San Antonio since 2001. She joined the Finance Department’s Procurement Division after working for the San Antonio Public Library and Public Works. As Procurement Administrator, Ms. Mata supported Public Works, Aviation, and Parks and Recreation with maintenance, capital, and bond projects. In January 2022, Ms. Mata was appointed Assistant Finance Director over Procurement. In this role, she oversees operations supporting all City departments on procurement in these areas: Construction and Design Services, Goods and Supplies, and Professional Services.
In her tenure with the City, Ms. Mata has provided project management support for the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center expansion project, design builds for Public Safety Headquarters and the Hausman Road project, and Hemisfair Park renovations.
