About Street Repairs

Street repairs ensure that our roadways are properly maintained and will last for years to come. Let us know about streets needing repair by calling 3-1-1 or 210-207-6000. You may also use the 311SA Mobile App.

NOTE: Project could be rescheduled or delayed due to adverse weather, environmental conditions, or unforeseen issues.

Below are the most common types of street repairs we perform on our streets.

Pavement Preservation

This program focuses on preserving the existing pavement by adding a sealant to the surface of the street to enhance the life of the pavement.

Pavement Restoration: Asphalt Rejuvenation Process

This program maintains roads in their current condition to prevent further deterioration.

The purpose of the sand is to minimize any tracking of product onto stone or concrete driveways - this product will not penetrate concrete or stone so any tracking will burn off or oxidize within 2 - 3 weeks through natural weathering and sunshine. If possible, do not drive over treated areas until sanded.

The other purpose of the sand is to stop any product being thrown up on vehicles during the application stage. If vehicles adhere to the flaggers' instructions and posted speed limits (15 mph) there will be no product kicked up onto vehicles.
