About

The mission of the Public Works Department is to build and maintain San Antonio's infrastructure through innovation and dedication.

We are committed to meeting the needs of residents.

We provide services such as:

pothole repairs
traffic signal maintenance
ensure proper storm drainage
street markings and signage

We also plan ahead through our 5-year rolling Infrastructure Management Program (IMP). Through the IMP, we plan the roads, alleys, drainage, sidewalks, etc. that need to be repaired over the course of the next five years. As we make progress each year, we add and adjust the plan to ensure we are always planning five years out.
