Pothole Repair Program
The City's Pothole Repair Program, managed by the Public Works Department (PWD), has gone through changes over the years to improve customer service, productivity and reduce costs.
Pothole repair is a service requested by San Antonio residents through 311 Customer Service. Pothole repairs are assigned to the appropriate service area after requests are received.
Facts & Statistics
- 16 Pothole Patrol crews are stationed across the City (Northeast and Northwest service centers).
- Crews repair potholes reported through 311 and through proactive inspections.
- Between 75,000 and 80,761 potholes are repaired annually.
- The 311 system generates an average of 500 calls a month.
