Dead Animal Collection

We collect dead animals including domestic and wildlife animals from City streets and residences. This free service is available everyday, but is subject to holiday changes.

Veterinary Clinics

Commercial collection is available to veterinary clinics for a cost of $10 per animal. Veterinary clinics should purchase dead animal tags to have on-hand.

 

Request Collection

Step 1.Prepare the animal for collection

  • If the animal is at your residence, place the animal in a trash bag or box and leave at the curb.
  • Never place an animal in any of the three carts – brown, blue or green.
  • We cannot collect dead animals from attics, ditches, under buildings or on private property.

Step 3.We'll collect the animal

When possible and based on the condition of the animal, we will scan for micro-chips and also remove and record collar and tag data. That information is given to the City’s Animal Care Services.
