Bagged Leaf Collection

You can request up to two free collections per fiscal year. There is a $20 fee for additional collections. Follow the steps below to request a collection online or by phone.

Step 1.Make sure you're eligible

You can request two free curbside leaf collections per fiscal year (October 1 - September 30). You can request additional collections during the same fiscal year for a $20 fee.

Step 2.Prepare for your collection

You'll need to follow some guidelines to make sure we can accept your bagged leaves.

Leaves must be placed in paper bags or cardboard boxes -- never plastic.
Total volume cannot exceed 8 cubic yards or 50 bags or boxes per collection.
Bags must be made of two-ply kraft paper, have a wet strength of 40 pounds, and be securely closed.
Individual bags cannot weigh more than 40 pounds.
Boxes must be made of plain brown cardboard, securely closed, and not exceed four feet in height and width.
San Antonio's organics program does not accept 'compostable' or 'biodegradable' bags.
