Interim Deputy Director, Nicholas Galus

Nick Galus Career

In August 2011, Mr. Galus joined the City of San Antonio's Solid Waste Management Department as a Senior Project Manager overseeing the development and implementation of the City's Organics Recycling Program. He first joined the City in 2006.

Before coming to the Solid Waste Management Department he oversaw all the information technology  and facility needs for the Department of Human Services. He took part in facilitating and coordinating various community projects such as senior centers, learning centers, and various need based programs.

Prior to joining the City of San Antonio, he worked as a Department of Defense contractor for nine years as a Senior Systems Analyst with Command Technologies, Inc.

Personal

Nick is married to Brenda and has three sons, Nicholas, Christian and Anthony. He is a San Antonio native but grew up oversees in the Philippines as a child.
