Career
Edward Gonzalez joined the City of San Antonio in January 1995 and began his career as a Recycling Collections Truck Driver. Since that time, he also worked as a Shift leader and Customer Service Specialist. In 2011 he promoted to the position of Customer Services Supervisor.
As a Supervisor, Mr. Gonzalez manages the Customer Service section which handles about 50,000 calls each year. In additional to ensuring his staff provides vital support to our customer base, Mr. Gonzalez also works closely with Department and Council staff to ensure proper handling of customer issues and concerns.
Personal
Mr. Gonzalez is married to his lovely wife Monica and has three sons. He is the proud grandfather of 4 grandchildren. Edward enjoys sports, bike riding, ranching and spending time with his family.
