Career

Ms. Roeder has more than 20 years of experience with the City of San Antonio and was promoted to her current position as Assistant Finance Director over the Accounting Services Group in December 2024. Accounting Services encompasses:

  • Travel
  • Payroll
  • Employee Time Management
  • Financial Reporting
  • General Ledger
  • Fiscal Shared Services

Ms. Roeder began her accounting career with the City of San Antonio’s Finance Department in 2004. In 2011, she went to work for the City’s Management and Budget Office as a Budget Program Specialist. In 2013, Ms. Roeder returned to the Finance Department as a Financial Reporting Manager and then was promoted to the City’s Controller in 2015. As Controller, she successfully guided the team to achieve no audit findings for six consecutive years.

Ms. Roeder works alongside the Assistant Directors over Financial Services and Public Utilities in the Finance Department to ensure that the City’s cash, investments, debt obligations, and public utilities receipts are accurately recorded and disclosed within the City’s financial statements.
