Veteran-Owned Small Business (VOSB) Preference Program

The VOSB Preference Ordinance, approved by City Council, became effective and applies to solicitations issued after January 15, 2014. It is consistent with the Council’s goal of promoting San Antonio veteran-owned small businesses. The performance of the VOSB Preference Program will be evaluated regularly, and quarterly reports will be provided to Council.

To comply with the VOSB Preference Program, bidders are required to submit the VOSB Preference Program Identification Form(PDF, 43KB) as part of their response to some City solicitations.

Local Preference Program

The Local Preference Program Ordinance allows the granting of preferences in certain discretionary contract solicitations to local businesses or businesses with knowledge of, and/or experience working with, local conditions where appropriate.
