Small Business Economic Development Advocacy (SBEDA) Committee

The SBEDA Committee is a group of citizens appointed by the Mayor and City Council to advise on issues affecting small businesses in the San Antonio area.

The committee is advisory in nature. It advises the Mayor, City Council and the City Manager on business issues, goals and related policies concerning small businesses that are ready, willing and able to do business with the City, under the policies set forth in the SBEDA ordinance. In addition, they make recommendations concerning modifications of programs and procedures established in the SBEDA Program.

You can find information regarding the City's Board and Commission guidelines and the complete ethics code on the Boards & Commissions page.

Meetings

SBEDA Committee meetings are held on the second Friday of every other month. Meetings begin at 10:30 a.m. and are open to the public.
