About

In partnership with Main Street America (MSA), the City of San Antonio will launch the third year of its RevitalizeSA: Corridor Leadership Program (RevitalizeSA) in Winter 2026.

This intensive 9-month program focuses on revitalization and growth of local commercial corridors, by cultivating community leaders through a series of leadership and strategy courses. The 9-month program consists of 6 months of workshops and 3 months of project work.

As part of RevitalizeSA, participant leaders will develop a project proposal, with the opportunity to apply for a Commercial Hub Advancement for Neighborhood Growth Engagement (CHANGE) Grant of up to $5,000 to support their proposed project and identified corridor.

The program's inaugural year cohort (2024) graduated in November 2024 and the second year cohort (2025) graduated in November 2025. Each cohort member developed a number of unique projects for their corridors. Learn more about current and past cohorts.

Develop Your Skills

The nine-month, economic development leadership training program will provide participants with:

  • Useful tools to spark community improvement;
  • Practice through workshops and hands-on projects; and
  • Connections with local peers, experts, and community leaders.

The skills and knowledge gained during the nine-month program will help participants build skills and networks that will help them to lead positive change in their local neighborhood commercial corridor. The pilot program is offered at no cost to participants and is supported by American Rescue Act (ARPA) funds.

Participant Benefits

By participating in this program, selected participants will gain:

  • Enhanced leadership abilities to drive change at the local level, specific to commercial corridor renewal;
  • Expanded networks of peer leaders and industry experts;
  • Proven strategies to champion neighborhood revitalization;
  • Funding and support to complete your own corridor improvement project; and
  • Potential to access up to $5,000 in CHANGE Grant Funds for a commercial corridor revitalization project.

Grant Opportunity

As part of the program, participant leaders will develop a project proposal for their identified commercial corridor and may apply to receive a CHANGE Grant of up to $5,000. These grants are intended to spark positive changes in a neighborhood business district.
