Overview

Quebec City, the capital of Quebec province in Canada, is a historical and charming city known for its European-style architecture, especially in the Old Town, a United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) World Heritage site. It is the only walled city in North America north of Mexico and boasts a distinct French-Canadian culture and atmosphere.

Québec City is part of UNESCO's global Creative Cities Network; it was designated a City of Literature in 2017 and was the first francophone city to receive this distinction.
