The City of San Antonio is located in Bexar County in south central Texas, one of the fastest-growing regions in the nation. According to the San Antonio Planning Department, the city covers more than 518 square miles. It is just an afternoon drive from the state capital in Austin, the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, Houston, the Gulf Coast and Mexico.
