The Office of the Immigration Liaison seeks to establish a strong network to coordinate and connect San Antonio’s immigrant community to services and supports inclusive and welcoming initiatives to ensure immigrants and refugees feel valued and integrated in their communities.

Events

The Office of the Immigration Liaison partners with local organizations to hold annual events for San Antonio immigrants and refugees.

Migrant Support Services

The Migrant Resource Center/Centro de Bienvenida (MRC) opened in July 2022 as a temporary place for migrants traveling through San Antonio.

Naturalization & Citizenship

The Office of the Immigration Liaison partners with U.S Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) and the U.S District Court Western District of Texas to hold annual naturalization ceremonies in City venues. Additionally, the Office of the Immigration Liaison partners with local organizations to provide free citizenship clinics to San Antonio residents.
