Fire Prevention Division

The Fire Marshal leads the Fire Prevention Division and provides a fire-safe environment for the citizens of San Antonio.

The division creates this fire-safe environment through three key areas of service:

Fire Code Development & Enforcement

The Inspections Division is responsible for Fire Code adoption, inspection, and revision. The City of San Antonio has adopted the 2024 International Fire Code with amendments.
