Removing a cat from an area does not fix a neighborhood cat problem. Trap/Neuter/Return (TNR) has proven to be the only long-term solution to humanely control cat populations.
TNR is a program in which community cats are humanely:
- marked by a veterinarian
- returned to the trap location.
With this program, population sizes decrease and the cat will also be healthier and coexist more peacefully within the neighborhood.
Animal Care Services (ACS) Community Cat Program (CCP)
ACS CCP Voucher for each cat is required & cats must be in a wire transport or trap. We do not accept cats in airline, wire, or soft carriers/kennels. You must be a resident of the city of San Antonio to use this program.
