Removing a cat from an area does not fix a neighborhood cat problem. Trap/Neuter/Return (TNR) has proven to be the only long-term solution to humanely control cat populations.
TNR is a program in which community cats are humanely:
- trapped
- evaluated
- vaccinated
- sterilized
- marked by a veterinarian
- returned to the trap location.
With this program, population sizes decrease and the cat will also be healthier and coexist more peacefully within the neighborhood.
