Shannon Sims
Director

Shannon Sims came to the city of San Antonio with a background of 22 Years experience in Operations Management and Process Improvement as a Senior Enlisted member and Officer within the US Marine Corps.  After his retirement from the military, he held positions in both the public and private sector.

Shannon came to Animal Care Services in 2014 as the Field Operations Manager and also served as the Chief Field Operations Officer until 2017 when he was appointed as the Assistant Director. He was appointed to be the ACS Director in September of 2021 after serving as the Interim Director for several months.

Shannon has a Master of Business Administration from Trident University and a Bachelor of Science in Business Management, from the American Military University. He also holds a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certification.
