$21.8 Million in ARPA Funding

The City has received this funding for additional programs outside the State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds (SLFRF).

Library – Adult Literacy - $180 Thousand

Supplemented the City’s Older Adults Device Lending Program. This program loaned internet-enabled tablet devices to adults aged 60 and older for a period of six months. The San Antonio Public Library partnered with the City’s Department of Human Services to distribute the devices to Older Adults, who used the City's Senior Centers. This program is complete.

Public Health Americorps - $173 Thousand

Provides health education and training for public health needs in underserved communities. This funding expands capacity and support for public health services in these communities. Increased access to public health services provides for more equitable outcomes.

Child Care and Development - $17.4 Million

Provides assistance to improve the quality of early care and education programs for young and school age children.

Head Start - $4.0 Million

Provides programs for specialized, quality education and comprehensive social services to eligible children and their families.
