HDRC MEETING SCHEDULE
View the Hearing Schedule for application deadlines and dates of all Historic & Design Review Commission (HDRC) and Historic & Design Review Compliance and Technical Advisory Board (CTAB) meetings scheduled for this year.
All meetings are at 3:00 pm at 1901 S Alamo, Development & Business Services Center, in the Board Room. Parking is free, located to the west of the building, and in the lot across the street to the south.
Public portal
The OHP Public Portal allows you to see in real time completed applications that have been tentatively scheduled for a public hearing by either the HDRC or CTAB. The portal will also display pending demolition requests. You can filter by historic district or council district to more easily find the items you are interested in. In the Public Portal you can view submitted application materials. All cases listed are tentative until included on a final, posted agenda.
Beginning January 1, 2023, we no longer be provide a PDF of the preliminary agenda. Instead, we send a weekly reminder to email subscribers directing them to the Public Portal.

The final, posted HDRC Agenda and case information can be viewed at the City's SASpeakup website. The HDRC agendas can be found in "Meetings & Events" or alphabetically under "Boards and Commissions". Agendas can be viewed in HTML or PDF formats. Once in the html agenda, hover over an item until a light blue box surrounds it, then click. A light gray box should appear below the item with option to view or download the attachment. This attachment includes the case details, staff's recommendation and the exhibits provided to the public.

Public Participation
The HDRC and CTAB meetings are open to the public. You can view multiple ways.
- You can live stream on the City’s TVSA page
- Attend in-person at 1901 S Alamo at 3 pm. No registration, or sign-in required.
- Call 210-206-5483 (LIVE) to listen in English or in Spanish.
Anyone who attends may sign-up to speak in favor of or in opposition to any item on the agenda. Those citizens attending in person may sign up on the Public Comment sheet provided in the foyer. Citizens signed up to speak will be given 2 minutes of speaking time each.
Remote participation through voicemail comments is strongly recommended. The public may provide their comments via voicemail by dialing 210-206-HDRC (4372). Your message will be played during the hearing. Please include your full name, home or work address, item #, and address of the request. Recordings are limited to 2 minutes; voicemails must be received by 12 pm noon on the day of the hearing in order to be played.
Applicants and Property Owners
Applicants can participate in-person or virtually via WebEx. Owner and applicants of items on the agenda do not need to sign up to speak or leave a voice message. The case manager will email access information to applicants that wish to attend virtually. Applicants will be called on as the case is called. Applicants should come prepared to discuss the request and answer questions from Commission members. Please leave the red yard sign where it was placed so that staff can pick it up in the days following the hearing.
