Did you find a "There's a Story Here" sticker or sign on your favorite business or in a public area near a historic building? A sample there's a story here qr code sticker.

Look for the corresponding pin on OHP's Discovery Map to read the story connected to that location and explore others nearby.

NOTE: Enable your location on your phone for easier story discovery.

If you want to share your own story, use the instructions below.

 

Submit a Story

Step 1.Share a Story

Use the form to tell us about a person, place, or tradition that matters to you. You'll also have a chance to share why it's important, upload photos or audio and let us know how you'd like to participate.

Step 2.Provide Details

In the form, you will be asked to:

  • Describe your story and where it happened.
  • Share why it matters to you or your community.
  • Add cultural identity, audio, or photo (optional).
  • Choose if you'd like:
    • to stay anonymous
    • the City to contact you about your story
    • to take part in the There's a Story Here marker program

Step 3.Request a Marker

To be included in the There's a Story Here program:

  • Select "Yes" when asked if you'd like a marker.
  • Choose the type of marker: sticker or plastic sign.
  • Provide your email and/or phone number so OHP staff can follow up and arrange pickup.

If you forgot to include your contact details in the form or prefer to follow up manually, you can email us your:

  • name
  • mailing address
  • topic of your submission
