Our Child Care Quality (CCQ) Division delivers high-quality mentoring to early learning programs, supporting the continuous improvement and sustainability of quality child care for Bexar County and 12 surrounding areas:

The CCQ is responsible for providing information to child care providers on Child Care Services (CCS) requirements. CCQ also negotiate agreements, provide technical assistance, and conduct on site monitoring visits for the following CCS Providers:

  • Texas Rising Star (TRS)
  • Texas Early Education Model
  • Texas School Ready (TSR)

All CCS Providers must adhere to the policies and procedures set by the Texas Workforce Commission (TWC), Workforce Solutions-Alamo (WSA) and CCS.

Eligibility

  • Have an active Child Care Services (CCS) Provider Agreement with a Board to accept referrals from TWC's CCS program.
  • Be licensed or registered with Child Care Regulation (CCR) (may have an initial permit) or regulated by the United States Military.
  • Not on Corrective or Adverse Action with CCR.
  • Not exceed the points threshold of 40 for high and/or medium-high-weighted CCR deficiencies (based on a review of the most recent six months of CCR licensing history).
