Director, John Jacks

John Jacks John Jacks was appointed the Director of Center City Development & Operations in May 2015. As Director, he oversees the following:

  • Downtown/River Walk Operations
  • Downtown Parking Operations & Enforcement
  • Downtown Cultural Facilities
  • Downtown Events
  • Contracts and Concessions

Mr. Jacks has 23 years of municipal government experience, most recently as the Assistant Director of the City of San Antonio’s Development Services Department. He began his career with the City of San Antonio in the Planning Department.

John has a Bachelor of Science in Geography from Texas State University.
