Discover something new every Thursday night with Downtown Thursday! The City of San Antonio presents Downtown Thursday, a weekly lineup of arts, culture, music, food, and family friendly experiences happening throughout downtown through the end of 2026.

Enjoy specials from a wide mix of participating downtown businesses — including restaurants, bars, coffee shops, retailers, tour operators, and arts venues.

With free parking after 5 p.m. in City‑owned parking facilities, Downtown Thursday makes it easy to plan an evening out. Guests can enjoy entertainment, food and drink specials, outdoor activities, cultural programming and partner hosted events throughout the downtown area. Plan your Thursday night downtown!

Downtown businesses and organizations interested in participating, or that already host Thursday evening events or offerings, are encouraged to sign up as a partner. Please contact us if you have any questions.

Free Parking on Thursday Nights

As part of the program, visitors can enjoy free parking at City‑owned facilities on Thursday nights from 5 p.m. to 2 a.m. (some exceptions may apply).

NOTE: Free Downtown Thursday parking will not be available at the Convention Center Garage (41 South Bowie St.) on Thursday, September 3. Parking rates will apply.

Majestic Theatre Show Nights

On Majestic Theatre show nights, free parking is available at the St. Mary's Garage, except during major Broadway shows and sold-out performances.

Parking is free on Downtown Thursdays for film screenings only. Standard rates apply for all other Majestic Theatre events (concerts, live performances, and Broadway productions).

Parking is free on most nights for Downtown Thursdays, except during Broadway productions or sold-out performances.

Convention Garage (850 East Commerce St.)

Standard parking rates apply during most conventions. Free parking is excluded.
