Application for 2025 - 2026 Public Vending Program Closed

Application period is July 14 - August 1, 2025.

The City of San Antonio, through the Center City Development & Operations Department (CCDO), offers two vending programs: the Designated Public Vending Program and the Private Vending Program. The following dates and processes apply for those interested in applying to either program.

NOTE: River Walk Private Vending Program is open year-round.

Step 1.Required Documents

Step 2.Attend the Informational Meeting

CCDO will hold its annual River Walk Designated Public Space Vending Program informational meeting. CCDO will conduct this meeting virtually. Please use the call-in phone number and conference ID below.

You must make an appointment to submit an application at the CCDO office.

One vendor per appointment unless approved. To schedule an appointment, or to request an alternate method of submission, please contact Jaime Hernandez.

NOTE: Applications are incomplete until all required documents are submitted and approved. Anyone applying for the program lottery cannot apply as an associate vendor for the current year.

Step 4.Attend Virtual Lottery

CCDO holds an annual lottery to determine the next year’s vendors.

The lottery for the 2025 River Walk Stationary Designated Public Space Vending Program will be held on Friday, August 15, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. The lottery will be conducted virtually, and meeting information will be sent out to approved applicants at a later date.

Step 5.Payment of Permit

Vendors selected through the lottery process on Friday, August 15, 2025, will need to pay the annual permit fee by Friday, September 15, 2025.

This is required in order to begin vending on Wednesday, October 1, 2025.

Alternatively, you can obtain the application in person at the Center City Development & Operations Offices, located at 400 N. St. Mary’s St., Suite 100, during office hours from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday. Closed on City holidays.

Application Submission
