Contribution Cycles & Limits

Contribution Limits per individual donor are $1,000 for Mayor and $500 for City Councilmembers and their respective Special Purpose Political Action Committees (SPAC) per each Contribution Cycle.

Pre-Election Contribution Cycle

• Begins on July 1 of the calendar year before the date of the general municipal election.
• Ends on the date of the general municipal election.

Post-Election Contribution Cycle

• Begins on the day after the general municipal election or the day after the run-off election, as applicable.
• Ends on June 30 of the calendar year before the next general municipal election.

Run-Off Election Contribution Cycle

• Begins the day after the general municipal election.
• Ends on the date of the run-off election, for candidates involved in the run-off election.

Report Due Dates

• January 15: Semi-Annual Report (period of July 1 to December 31)
• July 15: Semi-Annual Report (period of January 1 to June 30)
• 30th day before General Election
• 8th day before General Election and Runoff Election
• Final Closeout Report for Candidates and Office Holders (COH)
