TWC is the state agency charged with overseeing and providing workforce development services such as job matching, recruiting and training to Texas job seekers and employers. TWC's mission is to promote and support a workforce system that creates value and offers employers, individuals, and communities the opportunity to achieve and sustain economic prosperity.
The major functions of TWC include developing the workforce, providing support services including child care for targeted populations participating in workforce training and adult education and literacy services, providing services for people with disabilities to obtain training and employment, and administering the Unemployment Benefits and Unemployment Tax programs.

The Texas Veterans Network serves Active Duty, Reservists, National Guard, Veterans from all service eras, and their family members.

The Bexar County Department of Military and Veterans Services can assist in filing your Veteran Affairs Benefit claim and provide you with vetted resources, more information, and assistance with eligible VA benefits. In addition to helping with filing a Veteran Affairs benefit claim, they can help with career integration and finding career paths.

The BMT Graduate Family Pass is a resource for visiting families of Basic Military Training graduates. Those who are with the military should use the discounts offered.
Veteran Perks
Recognition
The city will recognize your loved one or coworker's retirement from the military. Be sure to reach out to the Office of the City Clerk Ceremonials Coordinator. You can also contact the Alamo to have a flag flown for a special occasion. Please note, you do not have to purchase their flag but can bring your own, however, be sure to email the Alamo for a specific day.
