Johnathan Moeller

Career

Mr. Moeller served 20 years in the United States Air Force and retired as a Master Sergeant. He is currently the Senior Management Analyst with the Military and Veteran Affairs Department (MVAD) for the City of San Antonio (CoSA). In this position, he works closely with Joint Base San Antonio (JBSA) and the various City departments to support and advocate for the military installations, the servicemembers and their families here in San Antonio.

Throughout his time in the Air Force, Jon served 14 years in the Logistics Career Field as a heavy equipment operator/dispatcher. Jon also served as a Master Military Training Instructor. He finished his career as the Executive Assistant to the Air Education and Training Commands’ (AETC) Command Chief while also working in the Commanders Action Group. He has deployed to Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Iraq and Qatar, conducting logistics operations, convoy operations and Hi-Vis personal security details for dignitaries.

Education

Jon graduated from Trident University with a Bachelors in Business Administration and the Community College of the Air Force with two Associates in Transportation and Education.

A native of Garland Texas, Jon’s awards include the Meritorious Service Medal with 3 Oakleaf Clusters, Air Force Commendation Medal with 1 Oak Leaf Cluster, Air Force Achievement Medal with 2 Oak Leaf Clusters, AF Good Conduct Medal with 5 Oak Leaf Clusters, National Defense Service Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal with 1 Service Star, Global War on Terrorism Service medal and the Nuclear Deterrence Operations Service medal with 1 Oakleaf Cluster.

Personal

Jon’s hobbies include camping, hunting, fishing and traveling. He is married to the former Dawn Prince of Sunland, California.  They have two sons, Hunter and Cayden.
