Councilwoman Misty Spears continues working with state and federal officials to secure relief from mandatory vehicle emissions testing in Bexar County. Despite the EPA’s willingness to reconsider Bexar County’s nonattainment status, mandatory vehicle emissions testing takes effect beginning November 1, 2026.
