Applications for the 2025 - 2026 Alamo Plaza Program open Monday, March 24, 2025 at 8 a.m.

Permit Programs

Two programs exist for downtown street level food vendor permits.

Each program varies by location and permitted food items. Both programs do not permit roaming vending, but require the vendor to stay in a designated location.

Vending Application

Make an Appointment 

You must make an appointment to submit an application at the CCDO office.

One vendor per appointment unless approved. To schedule an appointment, or to request an alternate method of submission, please contact Jaime Hernandez.

NOTE: Applications are incomplete until all required documents are submitted and approved.

Step 3.Annual Vendor Lottery

CCDO holds an annual lottery to determine vendors. It will be held on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, at 10:30 a.m.

The lottery will be conducted virtually, and meeting information will be sent out to approved applicants at a later date. Vendors must be present unless approved prior to the lottery. 

Step 4.Vendor Rotation Assignment Lottery 

CCDO holds a lottery to assign approved participants a spot in the schedule rotation. It will be held on Monday, April 21, 2025 at 10:30 a.m.

The lottery will be conducted virtually, and meeting information will be sent out to approved applicants at a later date. Vendors must be present unless approved prior to the lottery. 

Step 5.Payment of Permit

Vendors selected through the lottery process on Monday, April 21, 2025  will need to pay the annual permit fee by Monday, May 19, 2025.

This is required in order to begin vending on Saturday, June 7, 2025. 

Central Business District

Due to high demand, there are currently no available locations in the Central Business District for downtown mobile food vending.

The program allows vendors to sell:

  • hotdogs
  • raspas
  • pre-packaged food items
