Conformance: Mandatory

Having a consistent font used through print and digital materials helps to strengthen the brand experience and allow readers to easily recognize City-branded materials. The Arial font family is legible and accessible on various platforms for a ready-to-use application.

Requirements

You must use the Arial font family when creating official City materials. Font size must be a minimum of 12 pt.

  • Arial Bold
  • Arial Italic
  • Arial Bold Italic
  • Arial Black

Exceptions

  • The City logo and department logos will keep the previous font family of Myriad Pro
  • Some existing programs and initiatives may keep their brand font

Benefits

  • Consistent presentation of the City brand

  • Creators do not have to download special or customized fonts

Risks

  • Residents will not be able to easily identify or recognize the City brand and organization
  • Residents may not be able to read content if it is not legible or decorative
