Fair Access

The Fair Access Office (FAO) collaborates with City departments to develop results-based outcomes for improved access to City services. The division assesses and evaluates the impact of City projects, initiatives and policies. We increase City staff capacity and performance-based access outcomes through training, department consultations and strategic performance management tools.

FAO is responsible for the Program Assessment Tool and the Community Vitality Atlas. Our data-driven approach informs budgetary decisions and other resource appropriations through department assessments and action plans.

We aim to maximize the city's impact by ensuring that our policymaking, service delivery and resource distribution account for the different histories, challenges and needs of the people we serve.
