The Mobility & Transportation division works to improve air quality and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. We also expand access to safe, affordable and sustainable transportation options in San Antonio. Through programs, partnerships and policy initiatives, we support:

Electric Vehicles San Antonio (EVSA)

EVSA accelerates citywide EV and charger adoption, providing resources and coordination to help residents, businesses and municipal fleets transition to cleaner transportation.

Anti-Idling Ordinance

The City’s Anti-Idling Ordinance limits unnecessary idling of heavy-duty vehicles and buses to reduce air pollution and protect public health.

E-bike Program

The City promotes e-bikes as an affordable, efficient and low-emission transportation option. Through incentives, outreach and partnerships, the program expands access to e-bikes, especially for income-qualified residents, helping reduce vehicle trips while increasing mobility and transportation equity.

Rebate Program

The Low-Income E-bike Rebate Pilot Program will offer $1,000 vouchers to eligible residents for the purchase of a qualifying e-bike. The program provided 244 vouchers in its initial phase, and will provide 181 vouchers in its current phase, at participating local bike shops.
