Art of Celebration On View
On Display: February 18, 2027 - January 2028
San Antonio is a city of diverse individuals, families, and groups with more than three hundred years of history and culture. Residents understand the meaning of celebration - a joyful social event, gathering, or ceremony organized to honor or recognize a special occasion, achievement, or milestone.
San Antonians join together in national and international celebrations such as Dia de Muertos, Juneteenth, Fiestas Patrias, Diwali, Asian New Year, and Pride Month. Other celebrations are unique to our city, including Fiesta, Riverwalk Holiday Lights, Barbacoa and Big Red Festival, Stock Show and Rodeo, and the Spurs winning a big game. Many other celebrations are familial and intimate, such as birthdays, quinceañeras, and Easter in the park.
