Upcoming Exhibition

Mercado/Material

On View: October 15, 2026 - March 7, 2027
Curator: Mia Lopez

Mercado/Material brings together over a dozen contemporary artists who transform familiar objects—from fruit cups and grocery items to piñatas and neighborhood market signs—into bold works of art. Inspired by the history of Centro de Artes and Historic Market Square, the exhibition celebrates the colors, traditions, and everyday experiences of Latinx culture while exploring themes of identity, community, work, and consumer culture.

Opening Reception: Thursday, October 15 from 6 to 9 p.m.
