Music

Our music programming offers many music classes for all ages and skill levels. You can learn guitar, keyboard or percussion. These classes help people love music and grow their musical talents. Our goal is to make music education available to everyone. We provide free and affordable classes to make it easier for everyone to join.

Register for Classes

NOTE: All classes are subject to change or cancellation depending on the number of participants enrolled. There are no classes on City holidays.

Class Rates

The program fee is an inclusive, one-time fee for all class dates in the session. Program fees are non-refundable, and no fees are prorated.

  • Youth (ages 17 and younger): $30
  • Adult (ages 18 - 59): $60
  • Older Adult (ages 60 and older): $30

Youth Discounts

Two Youth discounts are available. Discounts only apply to registrations that are purchased in the same order (i.e., as part of the same cart).

  • Any additional class during the same session: $15
  • Discounted rate for the first class for siblings living in the same household: $25

Available Classes

Please review the following information about session schedules, enrollment policies, and class participation.

  • Four teaching sessions are offered annually: fall, winter, spring, and summer. The fall session marks the start of the teaching year.
  • Each session lasts approximately three months, but are affected by City holidays and closures, camps, and recitals.
  • Enrollment is open on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • Attendance is a factor in student advancement.
  • Except for classes that have not yet met enrollment capacity, session enrollment closes seven days after the first day of the session.
  • Once the enrollment period closes, class information is no longer visible until the next session schedule is released.
  • Due to high demand, participants may enroll in only one class with the same title, but waitlisting is not capped.
  • Proof of age may be requested.
  • Intro classes are the first level for all new participants and are offered free of charge.
  • Beginner-level music classes are skill-based and have restricted enrollment; they are not open to new students.
  • New students with substantial prior experience or proficiency in music may request an assessment for placement consideration when Summer Session enrollment begins.
