Generally Accepted Government Auditing Standards (Yellow Book) requires audit organizations to have an external peer review at least once every three years. The Office of the City Auditor has committed to follow the Yellow Book and undergo a peer review every three years. These peer reviews help ensure that the internal operations of the Office of the City Auditor are in full compliance with the Yellow Book.
Our last peer review, performed in June 2025, concluded that our quality control system is in compliance with the Yellow Book.
