The City of San Antonio participates in Close to Home's Continuum of Care to support efforts to address homelessness. The City of San Antonio supports, coordinates and contracts with community-based homeless services providers. Organizations supported include:

Alamo Area Resource Center

Provides a housing resource database, housing locator service, and intensive housing case management to assist individuals and families with HIV/AIDS in locating and maintaining safe, affordable, and appropriate housing.

Beat-AIDS Coalition Trust, Inc.

Provides case management to individuals diagnosed with HIV/AIDS to encourage connection to community supports and medical treatment.

Corazon Ministries

Corazon San Antonio operates in downtown San Antonio at Travis Park Church and Grace Lutheran Church serving people experiencing homeless and marginalized neighbors by providing street outreach, hot meals, clothing, warm showers, hygiene items, access to primary medical care, optometry and dermatology care, haircuts, art therapy, recovery groups and prayer circle.

Endeavors

Through permanent supportive housing, families receive case management, professional counseling, life skills training and employment opportunities.

Family Violence Prevention Services, Inc.

Offers residential and non-residential client shelter, transitional housing, counseling for adults, children, families and legal services. These services help individuals and families recover from the pain and longer-term effects of domestic violence.

Haven for Hope

Haven for Hope operates emergency shelter where individuals experiencing homelessness can access daily meals, safe sleeping, shower facilities, medical care, mental health resources, employment training and case management, all to overcome homelessness.

Salvation Army

The Salvation Army provides medium-term rental assistance for people experiencing homelessness.

San Antonio AIDS Foundation

Provides long-term housing subsidies and transitional housing to individuals and families diagnosed with HIV/AIDS, with no income and/or recently released from imprisonment.

San Antonio Metropolitan Ministries

Provides rental assistance, utility assistance, emergency shelter, permanent supportive housing and supportive services to individuals and families who are at risk of an eviction or experiencing homelessness.

THRU Project

Provides youth experiencing homelessness who have exited the foster care system with medium-term rental assistance while they work on their career and educational goals.
