The City of San Antonio opens its Budget Survey

SAN ANTONIO (May 20, 2025) – The City of San Antonio is inviting residents to help shape the future of local City services by participating in the annual Budget Survey. Each year the City of San Antonio develops an annual operating budget that reflects the City Council and Community priorities. The City's fiscal year begins October 1 and ends September 30.

As planning begins for the Fiscal Year 2026 budget, community input is vital in determining which programs and services—such as streets, parks, and public safety—should be prioritized. This year, the City isn’t bringing in as much money as expected, which means some tough choices lie ahead. To keep providing the high level of service residents rely on, the City will need to tighten its budget. That’s why it’s more important than ever for residents to speak up and help guide those decisions.

Residents can take the survey at SASpeakUp.com/SABudget2026, or pick up a budget survey card at City facilities across San Antonio. Residents can take the survey until June 6, 2025. Those filling out survey cards must drop them off at Council District Field Offices, Libraries, Senior Centers, and Community Centers before the deadline.
