The initiative creates community leaders through hands-on training.

SAN ANTONIO (February 11, 2026) The City of San Antonio Economic Development Department, in partnership with Main Street America (MSA), is now recruiting applicants for the RevitalizeSA: Corridor Leadership Program — a dynamic leadership initiative designed to empower local leaders to revitalize and strengthen neighborhood commercial corridors throughout the city. The program includes six months of leadership training and an optional three-month project to put learnings into action.

The program focuses on building real-world skills in leadership, placemaking, economic vitality, and community-driven strategies that help spark sustainable neighborhood growth. Participants will receive hands-on training, workshops, and mentorship, all at no cost.

Program Highlights

  • Leadership Training: Focused sessions on leadership, collaboration, community engagement, and corridor development strategies.
  • Networking & Support: Connect with peers, local experts, and community leaders to build a stronger support network for corridor revitalization.
  • Project Development: Participants will design a project proposal for their selected commercial corridor.
  • Funding Opportunity: Participants may be eligible to apply for a Commercial Hub Advancement for Neighborhood Growth (CHANGE) Grant of up to $5,000 to implement their proposed corridor project following the training.

“RevitalizeSA helps equip community champions with the tools, networks, and confidence to transform their neighborhoods,” said City Manager Erik Walsh. “I’m confident that this transformative program will promote meaningful improvement to the community and result in long-lasting impacts.”
