VIA to Offer Free Park & Ride Service to Muertos Fest and Paul McCartney Concert
SAN ANTONIO (October 22, 2025) — Downtown San Antonio will be very busy the weekend of October 24-26, with Saturday, October 25, expected to be especially busy due to Muertos Fest, the Paul McCartney concert at the Alamodome, and other downtown events.
Plan for a Smooth Experience
Visitors and residents are strongly encouraged to arrive early and plan ahead to avoid traffic delays. VIA Metropolitan Transit will offer free Park & Ride service to Muertos Fest and the Paul McCartney concert.
The heaviest traffic is expected on Saturday evening, near the Alamodome and along I-37/US 281.
Transportation and Parking Options
VIA Metropolitan Transit – Free Park & Ride
VIA Metropolitan Transit will provide free Park & Ride service to the Robert Thompson Transit Station, located next to the Alamodome (183 Montana St.), on Saturday, October 25, from 3 p.m. to midnight. Service will be available to and from the following locations:
- Crossroads Park & Ride (151 Crossroads Blvd., 78201)
- Brooks Transit Center (3026 Sidney Brooks Drive, 78235)
- Frost Bank Center Lots 6 & 7 (3205 E. Houston St., 78219)
Additionally, riders can use Route 100 Prímo Fredericksburg Road for convenient connections between downtown parking garages and event venues.
VIA will offer fare-free service across its entire system on October 25, in celebration of Make A Difference Day, which encourages community service and acts of kindness. For more details, visit VIA’s website.
Rideshare
Rideshare services are available for convenient travel to and from the Alamodome and other downtown events. The designated drop-off and pick-up location is Alamodome Lot D, located on the west side of I-37/US 281, between the Tower of the Americas and the Institute of Texan Cultures.
For a smooth trip to the concert, consider taking a rideshare to Frost Bank Center Lots 6 and 7, where you can connect to VIA’s free Park & Ride service.
Downtown Parking
The City’s SAPark website provides a map of City-owned garages and lots, with event rates (maximum $15) in effect from the afternoon of October 24 through October 26 at most parking facilities. In addition to City-owned options, numerous privately operated parking facilities are available throughout the downtown area, offering thousands of paid parking spaces.

No Parking Downtown? Go to the Frost Bank Center
